Where do you provide wardrobe consultations?

This list is intended as a guide only, so please contact us to check if we provide services in your area if you are unsure, as we recruit new stylists and personal shoppers regularly through our training programme. My Style Companion cannot accept responsibility for those booking or purchasing services online without checking with My Style Companion if that area can be covered. It is the purchaser’s responsibility to make these checks before purchase. Travel expenses for our stylists may be extra if the client is based outside of areas covered by our stylists. These are charged at 40p per mile return journey. If My Style Companion is unable to fulfil an order due to geographic location, a refund will be offered subject to our cancellation terms.
Do I need to do anything before you arrive?
There is no need to do any preparation before your appointment. Your Style Companion will do all the work! All that we ask is that you keep all of your clothes in the wardrobe as they are; but perhaps bring shoes and accessories in to the same room as your wardrobe, so that your style advisor can see everything you have to work with. Some clients in the past have had a good clear out of their wardrobe before we arrive; and although this is absolutely fine, you may want your style advisor to check over everything before it heads to the charity shop, just to ensure you aren’t parting with something that could be revived! If you have seen any particular outfits or pictures in magazines that you like, feel free to collect them in order to show to your stylist when she arrives.

I had been pondering using a style consultant to de-clutter and make the best of my wardrobe for some time as I was fed up not being able to achieve a pulled together look from all of the clothes that I had. I’m usually very decisive but I was worried that a style consultant wouldn’t take into account who I was and what I wanted to change/achieve from the way I dressed. I first saw Nicola presenting at a conference for business women and what particularly impressed me was that she had obviously worked with a diverse range of clients with different body shapes, ages and lifestyles and she had instinctively taken their needs into account. I booked Nicola for a 4 hour wardrobe session and not only did she make me feel very comfortable and relaxed but she worked tirelessly, de-cluttering and showing me how to put different looks together. I’m still not as instinctive as I would like when deciding what to wear but I feel that I know where to start now and with a bit of planning can achieve a look that I want. I am planning to book Nicola for a personal shopping session and feel confident that whatever I buy I will actually be able to wear numerous times to achieve many different looks

My background and problem.
As soon as someone mentions to me smart casual...I go pale....this is what I feel that I always struggle to achieve, business suits are easy.......but the thought of looking casual, being comfortable and still looking smart and stylish always seemed to be something I couldn't do.....
What an experience!
Firstly to finally clear out a wardrobe that was full of things that I was hanging onto 'just in case'.
Nicola helped me then see that we had a good base to work on and helped me find things in my wardrobe that I had not thought about wearing for ages, just by showing me a different ways to wear them. She showed me how I was missing simple things, like the basics that you need to build your wardrobe and outfits around.
Then the shopping trip. Wonderful. First outfit she had picked for me, I just loved and felt so good in it. I always struggled to find trousers to fit and I bought 3 pairs on our shopping trip, all the trousers were styles that I would not have thought about buying, but Nicola suggested that I try them on and they worked - this made me one very happy shopper!
Nicola helped me with accessories and the weekend after our shopping trip, we had dinner and a lunch with friends and felt very confident in my smart casual look with thanks to Nicola.
I feel that I have actually invested money to stop me wasting any more money by buying with my new wardrobe in mind and to continually add to what Nicola has helped me put together.
