The Style Masterclass consists of 2 hours of fashion focussed fun. A Style Companion will come and talk to your guests about the art of personal styling and shopping, giving insider information on how to select clothes in the first place; how to put outfits together; how to make the most of your wardrobe etc.
Every guest if they want can bring along a couple of outfits or garments they aren't sure about / or have never worn and Nicola will show them how to make those pieces work or advise them on what needs to be changed or adapted. The hen can bring up to ten garments / outfits, however this is not essential and is entirely up to you and your guests. You may even find that you end up swapping garments and accessories by the end of the session!

I went with a group of friends to a course of styling sessions with Nicola this year. They were more like therapy sessions! We poured out our styling woes one by one and Nicola guided us in how to make the most of our best features and how to disguise our 'not so good' bits. I was a bit dubious about going along at first as I have been fashion obsessed since I was a teenager (wanting to be a fashion designer at one point) and I always thought I knew everything about how to dress for my body shape - but in truth, I had become bored of wearing wrap tops and bootleg jeans to hide/ balance my apple body shape. I'm so glad I went along as Nicola introduced me to other styles I wouldn't have considered before (even giving me the confidence to buy a pair of straight leg jeans for the first time ever!)
There was a lot of invaluable advice given but the most memorable session for me was when Nicola asked us to bring in 10 items from our wardrobe that fitted and we loved but still didn't wear. She absolutely amazed me by being able to tell just by looking at the garmets why were wearing wearing them. Quite often it was down to the fact that it didn't suit us and we subconsciously knew it but sometimes it was as simple as not owning the correct pair of shoes to wear with the item. A good excuse to go shopping if ever there was one!
However, the main lesson I learnt from Nicola was how to combine an outfit together. I have a house full of clothes, shoes & accessories that I have bought because I loved them but with no real thought of how I was going to wear them. I also spent (spend) a fortune in fashion magazines so always think I know what to do but getting advice face to face has more impact. Now I have more ideas of what to do with the clothes I already have rather than just buying more when I struggle to 'find anything to wear' in my bulging wardrobe. Honestly, Nicola's eye for creating a good overall look for all body shapes (our group covered all body shapes if I remember rightly!) was a revelation.
A big 'thank you' to Nicola from some very grateful customers! We are still striving to following your advice x
