Gorgeous Couture: Effortless Glamour to Suit You

I’ve been a personal fan of Gorgeous Couture Dresses for a number of years, and my purple one-shoulder dress is a particular fave that I have worn and worn and worn – hen dos, birthdays, holidays – it’s done me proud and is still going strong after nearly 5 years (see pic below)! As I’m always telling my clients, the key to a good dress is fabric, fabric, fabric, and each of Gorgeous Couture’s is hand crafted from Italian crepe jersey – an incredibly flattering material due to it’s weight and ‘bounce’ as I like to call it! It drapes where you need it to and clings where you want it to!

Effortless Comfort and a Pear’s Perfect Dress

This Phoenix Maxi dress is perfect for an effortless look during summer featuring one of ss12′s hottest snake prints. The Loren dress, available in a range of different soft sorbet hues is ideal if you want to look chic and elegant (whilst not worrying about breathing in all night) as the fabric drapes gently over your curves, enhancing your shape whilst hiding any lumps you’d rather not see. This sunny Gilly Maxi Dress is perfect for balanced hourglass shapes who have a relatively long waist, curvy hips and bust and good lower legs. The ruching on the waistline pulls the waist in even more, giving you curves that even Jessica Rabbit would envy!! This is a colour for those who want to get noticed so wall flowers need not apply. This dress says ‘I’m here’ but in a really friendly and personable tone thanks to the bright yellow colour, which makes you noticable but approachable at the same time. Amazing on olive skin tones in the summer! With a colour this bright, accessories need to be minimal and in a block colour like black or charcoal.

Apple shapes (or inverted triangle shapes) who are generally quite busty but have amazing hips, legs and bum would look fantastic in this Bailey Lace Dress, one of this season’s key colours and fabrics. The clever draping on the upper body to the waist gives you more of a cinched waist and lengthened torso (as you generally have a shorter waist due to your larger bust). Not only does this dress look great on apples, but it also really suits hourglasses and petite frames – a great all rounder really if you’ve got the legs for it. The length of the dress is perfect for showing off your tanned legs in summer, and can be dressed down for holidays with gold sandals or wedges, or dressed up for a night out with a bold block colour such as black.

In this current economic climate we’re all really aware that we need to get good price per wear from our clothing. For me, this Liberty Maxi Dress is not only a great buy for all shapes, sizes and heights but is a great all-rounder in terms of seasons; and will remain classic for years to come. Every girl needs a ‘go to’ dress like this for summer weddings, holiday glamour, but as well, a great little number to pull out in the autumn and winter as well for Christmas parties by simply adding a little fur jacket. I also think this a great option for a classy bridesmaids dress and it’s bound to suit most of your girls on the big day. The great thing about this Gorgeous Couture dress is that the fabric is so comfy it really is the true definition of effortless, timeless glamour as the comfort factor allows the woman in the dress, to shine through it. Genius.
