My Style Companion...

Making Women Smile is Our Passion...

My Style Companion™ is a new concept in the image industry, somewhere in between image consultancy and personal styling, which works for every woman who is busy trying to juggle everyday life with looking and feeling her best. My Style Companion has worked with girls and women from the ages of 16 - 65, sizes 6 - 28, at all different stages of life.

My Style Companion™ works with many different women, from those who may be happy with their appearance but bored with their style; to women who have been through a major change such as weight gain or loss and have lost their confidence; to others who hate shopping but still want to look good.

My Style Companion™ does not do colours, but DO help women to learn that looking and feeling fabulous, can be easy, practical, cost-effective and fun with the right knowledge and assistance. My Style Companion™ don't pigeon hole clients but work with them on a personal level to understand how clothes need to work for their life, body and confidence levels for long lasting positive changes with their wardrobes.

We also provide training courses...

My Style Companion™ now provide training and business support for women who too, would like to help others feel fantastic about their image through our Style Companion Training Academy™. The Style Companion Training Academy™ ethos is to pass on years of experience, expertise and knowledge which make Style Companions so special. Trainees are taught the Style Companion methods of wardrobe consultations, personal shopping and other style advisory services so that they can start their own styling business, grow a client list and excel in helping others to feel great about how they look by achieving stylish yet effortless capsule wardrobes.

Nicola Cupples, Style Director and Owner of My Style Companion™ set up the academy after becoming aware of how many new personal stylists and shoppers were coming on to the scene without any credentials apart from being stylish themselves. Nicola says "A lot of individuals think that they will make a good personal shopper because they look stylish and love fashion. However, when people are paying their hard earned cash for your time, they demand expertise and value for money, so reading Trinny and Susannah’s latest book or watching How to Look Good Naked just won’t cut the mustard, because every other woman has read and watched the same things.

Style Companion™ is all about expertise gained through training, experience and constant learning. Without these elements we couldn’t service our clients as well as we do. Once passing as an official Style Companion™, trainees can then set up their own styling business and eventually, after gaining experience themselves, learn to become My Style Companion™ trainers.

My Style Companion's™ mission is to make you look and feel fantastic, and we are not distracted by sales commissions or targets - you get honest, expert advice that is in no way biased to a particular brand. A Word on Colours...

A word from Nicola "People often assume and ask me if I "do colour" during the consultations, as for the last 20 years or so, this has been the "norm" offered by Image Consultants. My Style Companion are completely different to Colour Consultants! My Style Companion accounts for lifestyle, tastes, personality, budget, size, shape, height - as these are the true dictating factors of your style - not just skin and hair tone.

I'm a modern, working woman and I want my wardrobe to be practical and cost-effective whilst making me look fabulous, therefore at My Style Companion our services are forever evolving, developing and reflecting what is happening on the catwalks and on the high street. After all, fashion is always becoming unfashionable so it's important that our clients understand how to change with the times and grow more confident with their style, as opposed to being pigeon holed as a particular colour type, which can sometimes be restricting when shopping for new clothes.

Colour is only a tiny aspect of style. I'm talking about up-to-date, practical style advice that allows you to grow and evolve with the changing fashions available on the high street. True style is unique to you."
